- D = diameter (mm), R = radius (mm), L = length (mm)
- Vc = cutting speed (m/min), f = feed (mm/rev or mm/tooth)
- P = pitch (mm), θ = angle (degrees)
- RPM = spindle speed, π ≈ 3.14159
