Planning method
Parts per tool = usable tool life ÷ cutting time per part. The planning reserve reduces calculated capacity before required tool quantity is rounded up.
Use verified life data whenever possible. A conservative reserve is appropriate when material variability, interrupted cuts, long overhang, or unattended production may reduce actual life.
